How I used the Law of Attraction to manifest the perfect home in Costa Rica
I arrived in Costa Rica at the beginning of February and let me tell you that the first few weeks were a little hectic. I had to get used to a new country, a new town, the heat, a new job, speaking Spanish again etc. It sure was a lot to handle !
Fortunately, I didn’t have to search for a place to live right as I arrived, because my job was giving me one month of AirBnB. So, I knew I’d have a roof over my head at least for the first month. Eventually I would have to find myself something of my own. But not right away.
Since the first weeks in Costa Rica were so intense, well, I kind of winged the flat-searching part for as long as I could.
Fast-forward to the 2nd week of February, and I still hadn’t started searching for a place to live. But hey, I’m in Costa Rica, massive loads of tourists come here every year plus there’s a University close by. I won’t have any trouble finding myself a decent home. Right ? Right ?!
Well, of course, I was terribly wrong.
When I finally got myself to search the internet for a place to rent, I came to the realization that there really wasn’t much to pick from. I have never seen a city with this few rent offers. I started panicking ! I had less than 2 weeks to find something and for the moment, all I could find was either waaay too expensive, too far or would give my mom a heart attack if she knew I lived there.
No good option. Not much time left. I hate when I get myself into these situations, but I never seem to learn, sigh.
For a few days, I let myself completely freak out, I mean I might have called my mom and cried about how I might end up homeless. For the life of me, I could not find a flat that was in my budget, was walking distance from the office and decently clean (yeah, looking at you hulk-sized cucarachas).
My freak out lasted a few days.
I decided to use the Law of Attraction to manifest my perfect home
But then one day I woke up like, hey, how about I stop freaking the hell out and simply use this amazing tool I talk about all the time ? Ya know, The Law of Attraction. How about I manifest what I would like for myself instead of engaging in a fear based state of mind.
And so, I did.
That day after work, I went to a nice restaurant, sat down and started working on some magic.
If you are looking to manifest something in your life, if you have this one thing may it be big or small that you truly desire, then I strongly recommend these few easy steps because *spoiler alert*, I manifested exactly what I asked for !
Here it goes !
here are the 4 exact steps I used to manifest my dream home ⟶
step#1 - Being Grateful for what you already have
I started by writing down all the things that I was grateful for in my life until one entire page of my journal was filled up. Every time I wrote down one thing that I was grateful for, I would take a moment to visualize it in my mind and feel how blessed I was that this particular thing had manifested in my life. Emotions are a big key to manifesting guys !
Step #2 - Write what you wish to manifest as if you already had it
Then, on the next page, I wrote “My perfect Home in Cost Rica” and proceeded to describe in detail how I wish my new home would be and feel. But, and here is the trick, I was writing it down as if it had already happened. For example, instead of writing “I want a home in a safe neighborhood” I would write “I feel safe in my home, and I am comfortable walking around in the neighborhood” See what I did there ? Acting as if you already have what you are trying to manifest only aligns you with the vibration of that which you desire.
I must admit, it felt a little crazy doing it because I knew very well that what I was asking for wasn’t on Craigslist or any other site I had been checking out like crazy in the last weeks, but, I trusted that the Universe would conspire to bring it to me.
step # 3 - Visualize, Visualize, Visualize
Once everything was written, I then spent a few moments visualizing what my dream home would look like, how I would feel living there, how happy it would make me to come home every day. I just closed my eyes and let my imagination run wild. I added as many details and emotions to my visualization as I could and just played with this image I was creating in my mind.
Step #4 - Let it go
After I finished writing it all down and visualizing it, I read it out loud a few times, closed my journal and went home, knowing the Universe would work its magic. This is the part we call surrender. Letting go of the expectations, knowing that what you desire is already on its way. Not trying to control it. I find this to be the hardest step of them all.
The Universe sent me exactly what I asked for !
A few days later, I was attending a conference on the situation of Human Trafficking in Costa Rica. Before the conference started, my colleague and I were drinking coffee near the entrance. I was still pretty new at the office, so they started asking me how my first weeks in Costa Rica had been so far and if I finally found a place to live for the next month. As I was answering that I still hadn’t found anything yet, this lady standing next to us turned around, apologized for interrupting, looked at me and said that if I was looking for a nice place to live, she might just know a place. Her brother, she said, had this Villa in San Pedro where he rented several studios. Nothing big and fancy she said, but clean, nice and with a beautiful garden.
Recognizing immediately the synchronicity, I smiled and asked for more information.
After that conference, I went straight to visit the Villa the lady had told me about. And guess what ? It had everything I had written! To the last detail ! It’s within my budget and it’s a studio, so I live alone but since there are many other studios, I still kinda have roomies. It’s clean, super safe and has good vibes. I even have an amazing garden and two cats who visit me regularly ! How crazy is that !
There is not one single thing that I wrote that day at the restaurant, that I didn't manifest. Think about that.
This whole story is crazy, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw what I had manifested exactly what I had asked for and in such sort time!
